WHY FOUNDATION?
      The agility foundation program I have designed lays the groundwork for developing a competitive agility dog regardless of breed or size.  As a result, the program was written with the end in mind --a confident agility teammate who will work for a variety of reinforcers and in a variety of distracting environments.  The games and skills we develop in foundation class may not look like the fast-paced, obstacle completion we think of when we hear the word "agility", but are instead skills that prepare our dogs for faster, more accurate, and safer performance over the long term of their career.  
This foundation program is the same program that I use with my own dogs! It is so important to develop a strong skill set before a dog touches a piece of equipment. 
​Your puppy is only a puppy once. Do not rush through foundation, you don't want any cracks in your agility performances later.
